The population of cats is the United States alone is unbelievable. Nearly all experts will tell you that you should spay your cat instead of breed it. No matter what experts have to say, a lot of people want to have a litter of kittens from their cat. Before you decide to breed your cat, there are a few things that you should think about.

Breeding cats will also require a good degree of space as well. If you have a small apartment, you shouldn’t attempt to breed a cat. You should also make sure that your family agrees with the idea, as it isn’t good for the kittens if you keep them locked up. Keep in mind that kittens like to see Continue Reading

How To Deal With A Kitten Who Is Extremely Hyperactive And Constantly Needs Attention?

Posted On Friday, February 19th, 2010 By paarth

I got my 5- 6 week old kitten from my friend. (Her mother sadly died). I am aware kittens are meant to be playful and active because they are like little children but my kitten is really crazy. She jumps and runs a lot, climbs walls, curtains, scratches and bites everyones feet and hands. She is so hyperactive that one day she injured herself on the stairs so that makes us even more reluctant to take her out of her room. She doesn’t use her scratching post or play with her toys. Help!

How Important Is It For Kittens To Eat Kitten Food?

Posted On Tuesday, February 16th, 2010 By paarth

I have a 3 month old kitten and an 11 year old cat. Both of them like to eat little and often so their feeding bowls are always out. They both enjoy dry biscuits and recently I’ve noticed that the kitten will push the big cat out of her way so she can get to his food, he then just wanders over to her food.
Is it important that she’s eating the right sort of food for her age? She really seems to prefer adult cat food.

How old should the kitten be before switching to kitten food? Her mommy cat seems to be getting tired and crabby all the time so I wonder if the kitten should start eating on its own. She’s a month old now and has started to run and play so she needs a lot of energy. Thanks and happy holidays to all!
