What Do You Feed A Kitten Who Is Allergic To Kitten Formula?

Posted On Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 By paarth

I have 2 abandoned kittens that I took in 2 days ago, vet estimated them to be between 4-6 weeks of age. They cannot manage the kitten food I was given but love the kitten formula. However, they are now having white stools, which I read are caused by formula intolerance. Unfortunately I can’t find any info on what to feed as an alternative to kitten formula, and the vet is closed. Any guidance would be much appreciated. I’m not normally a cat person but these babies have won my heart, and they are a part of our family now.

I have an 8 month old spayed female kitten recently switched from Purina Kitten Chow to Friskies Savoury Selections because she was gaining un needed weight.
I also have a 2 month old male kitten (tiny) who is eating Purina Kitten Chow.
What is the best quality kitten & cat chows to feed them without costing me a fortune? I would like to give them healthier foods.
Thanks.

My 13 week old kitten won’t eat kitten food. We’ve tried wet, moist and dry. The only few brands of cat food he will eat is labeled for cats and kittens. The fat content isn’t as high as in the kitten food but I don’t know how to get him to eat the kitten food. Is this ok since it is labeled for both cats and kittens?

8 week old kittens going mental for their food. EDIT: It seems like no youtube video, no matter how simple, can go without people finding something to argue about in the comment section! To set the record straight for everyone (well, apart from the few who will continue to moan before bothering to read this!), the kittens had been abandoned from a very early age and were all recovering from cat flu, this is them finally getting an appetite and a voice!
